Jim Angell has acted as lead counsel in commercial financing transactions totaling over $1 billion. His practice emphasizes commercial finance and asset-based lending, representing institutional lenders in structuring, negotiating, and documenting sophisticated single-lender, multiple-lender, and borrower-financing transactions.
A native of Downs, Kansas, Jim joined Kennedy Berkley in 1999 after graduating from Washburn University School of Law. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Accounting from the University of Kansas. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, and Saline-Ottawa County Bar Association, and has been active in several charitable and community organizations.
Jim represents financial institutions in the areas of creditors’ rights and problem loan workouts, default resolution, debt restructuring, and commercial foreclosure.
