Lance H. Cochran
Lance H. Cochran’s practice focuses on the areas of law that are central to living and working in Kansas: agribusiness, estate planning, commercial/corporate and banking.
He represents a wide array of agribusinesses from small farms to multinational corporations with an emphasis on farm cooperatives—including one of the largest co-ops in the United States—as well as several large feed yards throughout Kansas.
Lance also provides counsel on all aspects of estate planning and succession planning for individuals across the state, focusing on farm planning, with an emphasis on trust planning.
Furthermore, he advises clients on all aspects of banking law.
Practice Details
For his agribusiness clients, Lance provides counsel on corporate matters including finance, real estate, governance, business transactions, contracts, creditor rights and more.
In the estate planning arena, he protects legacies and assets for farmers and small businesses with succession plans.
From lending to loan documentation to foreclosures and everything in between, Lance provides his banking clients with counsel tailored to their unique needs.
About Lance
A native of Salina, Lance cares deeply about giving back to the area where he lives and works. Outside his private practice, he strives to improve the community by developing real estate. In 2005, Lance founded a nonprofit known as the Community Housing Development Corporation of Central Kansas. The organization’s goal is to provide quality housing in an affordable manner to low-moderate income persons while simultaneously working to solve housing challenges in the region.
Lance is a member of the Kansas Bar Association and is the past President of the Salina-Ottawa County Bar Association and the Vice-President of the Notre Dame Club of Salina, Kansas.
